Privacy Officer & Director IT Security Compliance
Vera Racine, JD
Vera Racine serves as Tufts University’s Privacy Officer and Director of IT Security Compliance. She has nearly two decades of experience developing and implementing privacy programs, advising on regulatory strategy, and partnering with institutions on practical, risk based compliance solutions. Vera has spent much of her career in higher education—work she values deeply for its mission driven focus on learning, research, and community. She is a licensed attorney and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), with particular expertise in data ethics and protection, incident response, and managing emerging technologies across complex organizations.
